Champions Trophy - Analysing the Indian Squad

The team selection process - Squad Analysis that makes sense (as per me)
India have not picked the squad for the Champions Trophy considering the IPL form, or else we might have seen many youngsters like Shardul Thakur, Rahul Tripathi, Basil Thampi, Rishabh Pant, etc. But I think it was a sensible decision from the selectors not to select the youngsters as playing on England pitches requires some experience. I feel that the Indian squad for the big tournament is very balanced and is good according to the conditions in England.
They have two good openers who can destroy the opposition when it is their day, Rohit and Dhawan who are followed by Mr. Consistent - Virat 'Run Machine' Kohli at number 3. The middle order looks decent with the likes of Yuvraj, Dhoni and Kedar. India have picked two all-rounders, Hardik and Jadeja, out of which one is expected to make the playing 11. They have one quality spinner - Ravichandran Ashwin and a lethal pace bowling attack, who will be leaded by Bhuvneshwar and Bumrah who had a phenomenal IPL, and assisted by Umesh and Shami.
One surprise for everyone was that there was no wrist spinner, who I feel should have been there. They maybe could have taken Chahal or Kuldeep Yadav as a leggy in the squad. Dinesh Karthik was announced as a replacement for the injured Pandey a few days ago, who I feel was not a very sensible decision as I don't think that he will make a place in the side, untill and unless somebody is injured.
Anyway, I feel that India shall easily qualify into the knockout stages from Group B alongside South Africa, and make the finals as well.
Cheers,
Sparsh
