3 players Sunrisers Hyderabad are expected to retain for IPL 2018

2016 champions - Sunrisers Hyderabad would love to retain a few players from their current squad. David Warner & Shikhar Dhawan have been the pillars right at the top of the batting order over the last 2-3 season. Yuvraj was fine in the middle order as well.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been performing consistently with the ball, winning the purple cap for last two consecutive years, while Afghani youngster, Rashid Khan, had mesmerized everybody with his leg-spin last year.

Here are the three players, whom the Sunrisers Hyderabad - SRH shall retain for the next season:

1. David Warner

David Warner for sure will be their first choice when it comes to retaining any player. He won the orange cap last year, and is one of the most consistent player in the IPL. He single-handedly has won many games for the Sunrisers and also led them to the title in 2016, by defeating Virat Kohli's RCB in the final.

Here are his stats over the last 4 years:

2017 - 641 runs.
2016 - 848 runs.
2015 - 562 runs.
2014 - 528 runs.

Starting off as a hard-hitting and an aggressive opener, David Warner has adapted to the Indian conditions and has played the captain's role to perfection. He is somebody whom no squad would like to let go off.

2. Bhuvneshwar Kumar

Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been the mainstay of the SRH bowling attack over the last 4 seasons. He does the tough job of bowling in the power-play overs and in the death as well. He can swing the new ball very well and also can bowler the perfect yorker whenever required. He ended up as the highest wicket taker in IPL 2017, taking 26 wickets.

Here are his stats over the last 4 years:

2017 - 26 wickets.
2016 - 23 wickets.
2015 - 18 wickets.
2014 - 20 wickets.

No bowler in the Indian Premier League (IPL) has taken more wickets then him in the last 4 seasons combined. He has an economy rate of 7, which is absolutely phenomenal for a bowler who bowls predominantly in the power-play and death over. SRH would not want to let go of him.

3. Shikhar Dhawan

The left handed batsman from Delhi is Warner's partner in crime. While Warner plays aggressive cricket from one end, Dhawan patiently keeps rotating the strike. His role is to anchor the innings and let the other batsman play aggressively.

He has been consistent over the last 4 years for SRH, scoring 300+ runs in each of the 4 seasons. A stylish left hander, who knows how to read the game and play accordingly.

Here are his stats over the last 4 years:

2017 - 479 runs.
2016 - 501 runs.
2015 - 353 runs.
2014 - 377 runs.

Cheers,
Sparsh
